A soft serve vending machine. This is what I need in my life right now. |
The move is done. Yesterday I cleaned, I scrubbed. I washed windows and made that house sparkle.
And then we had to say goodbye. Which was really, really hard.
I poured my heart and soul into that house. I can remember where Grace's camp cot stood in the living room, where she slept peacefully as a little newborn while her brother was recovering in the hospital. I know the exact spot where Lilia took her first steps. And the basin where I bathed our tiny newborns.
I drove down the road away from our house and I cried. Hard.
And now we start moving on. And making new memories.
Here are a few interesting links that I have been using to distract me these past few days.
I'm currently reading The Happiness project. So far I am feeling a bit ambivalent, but I'll let you know my full thoughts in a future post.
I'm also On the look out for a good Ashtanga studio.
Here are 10 kid-friendly snack recipes. Because we are going to start eating less sweets, as soon as Easter is over. (As an aside, I haven't mentioned that I love Real Simple magazine, which sadly doesn't publish in South Aftica anymore. But I found their feed on Pinterest, which has made me very happy!)
Lastly, this is a Pickle cucumber recipe I can't wait to try. As soon as I get my pantry. But first I need to find a crinkle cut knife.
