Deadlines before decor

The current state of my study 

It really has been a case of deadlines before decor around here lately, as my house to do list stays untouched and I work away in my makeshift office.

One of my favorite things to before we moved in was to trawl Pinterest and find pictures of beautiful sunny home office spaces filled with tidy storage ideas, inspirational quotes on the walls and quirky accessories.

Well, the picture above is to show you how far I am currently with that particular project.
But I suppose, what's the point of having a home office if you have nothing to do in there? So, work first, fun later. In all honesty, I'm waiting for my shutters to arrive which will be the starting point for the room, and did go and buy a tin of Annie Sloan chalk paint with which to paint my book shelf and trestle, now to just find the time.

In other news, we're going to the Great Eastern Food Bar tonight for a belated birthday dinner (for who, you may ask? For me!) I'm hoping it's lovely, will let you know next week.
