It's been filled by flu and doctor's visits and reactions to antibiotics (Lilia's) and a head cold and inability to just get better (me) as well as work, party planning and some exciting, although busy oh-my-word-how-will-I-manage-all-this developments in the world of work. And very, very little time to blog.
So I hope you can forgive me.
I did mean to tell you earlier in the week that we went to the Neighbourgoods Market in Juta Street, Braamfontein last Saturday. Wow, it was great. The sky was blue, the city was clean, people were friendly. It was like we weren't even in Jo'burg (how sad is that! When jhb is actually good, it feels like we are anywhere but...)
It is mostly food stalls at the moment, offering some really good artisan products (beer, chocolate, charcuterie etc) and some design and clothing things upstairs.
Participating traders, according to the Neigbourgoods website, include ⋃ Breweries, Origin Artisan Roasters and Nigiro Teas, Cheese Gourmet, Fine & Raw Chocolates, and Petit Cochon.
It really was a great morning out. But next time, I'll take more cash (we ran out. Silly, silly) and go at lunch time so we can indulge in the champagne and paella on offer. Yum yum.
