And so it's here
Happy year to you and yours and all that is good in 2013.
We had a lovely time away - Cape Town was great, if a bit hot (40 degrees hot!!). We got to do everything we wanted to and show Lilia some great sights, and catch up with good friends. We also had a very special Christmas with family, but I'm really quite happy to be back home and ready to get cracking on this new year.
To be very honest with you, I have been dreading this year and all that it holds. And it really threw me for a loop when 1 January rolled around and I thought, "Eek, it's here! Now what?!?!?" But the sun came up and I did what I needed to do, and the sun went down. And I survived. And that is what I am going to try and do every day this year.
Survive it.
That, and use my dishwasher more. I think with twins on the way I have a really good excuse to.
I'm 26 weeks at the moment and feeling alright. My bump is feeling a whole lot bumpier and is definitely not as compact as it was a few weeks ago.
I'm throwing myself into nursery preparations and have about four lists all running consecutively, which I realise is not very constructive. Lilia is also starting nursery school in about 10 days, so there are a couple of things I need to get done by then. I am really looking forward to having a few hours every morning to achieve things, but am so worried about how she will adjust to the transition.
But in between all this worrying and anxiety, I am definitely looking forward to what lies ahead - meeting our two new bundles (who are little people in their own right, after all!) and completing our family.
All the while trying to remember that "Do not be afraid" appears in the Bible 366 times - more than once for every day of 2013.
