Twins - day in the life
Ok. So here's a little bit of refreshing honesty. Between all this 'twins aren't actually such a big deal' and 'it's amazing what you get used to' lines that I spin at least once a day when people say, oh my goodness, it must be SO INTENSE.
Here's the real version:
It is freaking intense.
This weekend, I have had a head cold, and been chained to my kitchen stove, mashing veges and chicken and chasing my son who keeps wanting to play with the toilet brush and eat leaves.
And making pesto and changing nappies and packing and unpacking nappy bags and attending children's parties and spoon feeding and bathing and wiping faces and dirty little hands.
All I want to do is go see a movie.
Or paint my nails.
Don't get me wrong, it's great. 10 months today of double cuddles and playing backyard soccer and teeny tiny feet.
But my goodness, I could do with a day off.
