Vinyl sticker from Stickaroo |
I must say this whole moving and setting up house thing is starting to wear a little thin and become a bit of a chore. Two months in and we are still waiting for shutters, have a nagging DIY list to get through and have a garden that looks like little more than a glorified mud patch.
But we push on. And with spring only a little more than 10 days away, I am clinging onto the thought of backyard parties with friends and a less rush rush rush to get me through this final stage.
But what I have realised about making a house into a home is that no matter how much you decorate and how beautifully all the details hang together, it is the time you spend there and the memories that the place contains that makes it a home.
But that aside, I'd like to share one of my little decorating triumphs with you: I ordered a vinyl sticker for Michael and Grace Mae's nursery from Stickaroo and absolutely love it.
They have an option for custom design, and the thought of making something unique really appealed to me. So after a little bit of back and forth with the designers - this is what they came up with for me.
Although you can't quite see it in the picture, it is on gold vinyl, which I love. And it's just gender-neutral enough to work for the shared nursery (very tricky).
I'm not going to lie to you and say it was easy to put on the wall. It required two pairs of hands, lots of patience and the twins to be confined to their cots while their older sister amused them with fluffy toys... Oh, the things that go on around here on a Sunday morning.
