Private beach for miles |
Hi there.
I'm slowly coming back down to earth after having spent a wonderful week on the beaches of Mozambique at Massinga. No kids, no schedules, sleep ins and lots of books and walking (ok, there may have been some cocktails involved too....). It was pretty much sublime, but I would be lying if I said I didn't miss the little ones.
We had two days of sparkling, beautiful weather and two days of rain, but that's how it is at the beach I suppose. The resort was lovely, although a little bit more out of the way than I expected (it took a full day of travelling to arrive there, using various forms of transport, including train, plane, ferry and shuttle) but was well worth it.
I managed to get a large amount of reading in, and I'll share those books with you soon in another post.

I've come back in a rather strange frame of mind, I have to admit. Sort of a hyper-awareness that the year is drawing to a close, and with the twins off to nursery next year I will have the time and energy for new challenges. So I'm in a bit of a reflective mood about what this means for my next chapter.
I'm dusting off my portfolio and my contacts book and trying to feel excited about the opportunities that could lie ahead, rather than daunted by challenge and emptiness and questions of 'what now?'
Looks like a wonderful refreshing break!
