Well, hello Monday.
I must say I am relieved to get a little Monday peace and quiet, where I can catch up with my computer, commune with my emails and tick of a few items from the old to-do list.
Not that weekends aren't great. It's just that at the moment with two nearly-18-month olds they're not very weekend-y. No switching off time and the dishes that multiply everytime I blink.
But I do really have to remind myself that it's all about attitude at this stage, and I thought the little poem above very appropriate, as things are full of wild and giggles and wiggles around here lately.
A few other things that have been on my mind over the weekend and on my list for the week ahead:
- The great furniture hunt continues. I've discovered Mezzanine Interiors who have some really beautiful occasional chairs. Now we just have to see how elastic that budget can be..
- I'm always on the lookout for a good book, and I've Mrs Hemingway by Naomi Wood spoken of very highly. I'll let you know if it's any good.
- The reason I'm on the hunt for a new book is this! In three weeks time we will be here Massinga Beach in Mozambique. And the kidlets with the various grandparents. We booked months and months ago and I can't believe it's nearly here. I think all I'm going to do today is watch the image slideshow on the website and dream of some "barefoot luxury"...sigh!
- Oh, and in case you forgot, the Rock a Baby Fair is on at Juta Street this weekend. It's going to be great, and the 2-for-1 special is still on tickets, so don't miss out.
