Spring!

I cannot begin to tell you how absolutely thrilled, thrilled, that spring is finally here! It is probably my favorite time of the year, with blossoms blossoming and new green leaves shooting all over the place, and blue skies and warm temperatures and mornings with light streaming into the windows as I wake up. My children probably already think I'm mad as I shout "blossoms!" at every pink or white tree we drive past these days. 

But I don't care, I'm just so happy to throw off the bleak winter and know an entire summer lies stretched before us.

 To celebrate this first-of-spring weekend, we took Michael for his first really boy haircut (Mommy trimming the back of his hair in the bath doesn't count) to my husband's Italian barber in Norwood. He looked too sweet and was very well behaved, except for the fact that he was really taken with the pictures of girls in bikinis in the cubicle...

Nothing quite like Sunday snoozes...

Sunday saw us at the Jo'burg Country Club in Auckland Park, stretched out on the lawn, enjoying the new green grass. None of which we have at home as we wait for our never-ending garden revamp to come to an end, but right now that doesn't matter and it was lovely to celebrate a new season, gin and tonic in hand.
