RockaBaby |
We're expecting a rash of babies to enter our lives early next year (Is that the right terminology? Can you even say that?) as many close friends either embark on parenthood or complete their families. On a purely selfish note, I'm so glad we won't be the only ones with three kids, as boy do the comments get old.
As I prepare myself for some serious baby shower shopping, I heard about the RockaBaby fair happening at 73 Juta Street at the end of September. Now, I've never ever been to a baby expo in my life, something which I am actually quite proud of. I can think of nothing less appealing than trawling around a huge hall filled with baby products and millions of kiddies on their way to see Barney perform. I hear there are good deals on nappies, but I'll take the chance, thanks very much.
But RockaBaby is something completely different. It's going to be held at the home of the Neighbourgoods Market in Braamfontein and there's going to be some amazing exhibitors there - FancyPants, Oh-Lief and Exquisite Tastes.
In my opinion, there is nothing worse than giving or receiving a pile of newborn clothes or baby blankets at a baby shower, especially when there is so much more that you actually need.
RockaBaby Fair - Johannesburg Sunday 28 September.
Quick! There's a 2-for-1 special on tickets at the moment if you enter the code FRIEND14 on Webtickets (Tickets are R50 for adults and kidlets go for free).
