A Champagne kind of day
Yesterday was pretty much a near-perfect day that started with early morning yoga and ended with some delicious Taittinger French Champagne.
The said bottle has been sitting in our fridge for nearly a year now (no, I'm not joking!) and yesterday we had a really, really good reason to celebrate. I can't say anything more than that for now, but wow was that champagne worth the wait!
Even though it is high summer and the temperature is nearing 30 degrees every day and I'm wearing my short-short denim shorts as I type this, I find my mind straying every now and then to winter and the fashion possibilities.
One of the things I really miss about London are all the fantastic tights. During those really long and dreary winters, trousers lose their appeal after about two weeks and all the girls break out their fashion tights. A benefit of the Jo'burg winters that never really get all that cold (unless it's at night or in the early mornings) is that you can pretty much wear tights with shorts, crop trousers and skirts.
I've been searching My Tights and Tights Please, two really good UK sites and looking for some autumn/winter options (like these Falke Grand Pepita tights - what a cool name) that can easily fit into some one's luggage when they fly the London-JHB route soon...
